In what will become a recurring theme throughout the month of January, a club from the goldmine that is the Chinese Super League is set to make a big money move for a star from one of Europe's top leagues.
The player in question this time is Arda Turan, who could be following Oscar to the Far East in a €50m deal.

Guangzhou Evergrande, who have lifted the Chinese Super League in each of the last six seasons, are looking to bring the Turkey captain to the Orient next month, having reportedly made an approach for him over the Summer, which Barcelona rejected.

Turan initially struggled at the Camp Nou, but the former Atletico Madrid playmaker has come to life, this term, scoring 11 goals, more than Neymar. It is believed that Evergrande, managed by World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, are unlikely to be deterred by their previously unsuccessful attempt to Lure Turan away from Catalonia and will make another bid in January.
Evergrande's current star player is Hulk, who moved to the Super League champions in a record breaking deal earlier this year. The Brazilian may just have some top class company in a couple of weeks time.
