Why?

Arsenal fans were over the moon when Arsene Wenger finally found a first-choice goalkeeper in Petr Cech so why does he want to bring back a player who never made an appearance for the Gunners?

At the start of the 2013.14 season, Emiliano Viviano moved to Arsenal from Palermo on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy outright for 7.5 million euros.

On a number of occasions, Wenger tried to replace former keeper Jens Lehmann but never found a solid replacement.

Unfortunately for Viviano, he failed to make a single appearance under Arsene Wenger and eventually found himself at Italian side Sampdoria.

According to Football Italia, Arsene Wenger bizarrely wants to bring the Italian back to North London to give his Arsenal career a second shot.

Are you okay, Arsene?
