Arsenal Planning Huge Swap Deal To Land Top Transfer Target

Arsenal Planning Huge Swap Deal To Land Top Transfer Target

Will Arsene Wenger get his man?

Arsene Wenger is under more pressure than ever this season to deliver success to the Emirates, following a 12 year drought without a Premier League title. Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte taking over at title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, respectively has upped the ante in the title race, as has the arrival of a certain Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. Now, it seems the Arsenal manager is going to great lengths to bring in his top transfer targets.

The Gunners are seemingly linked with Gonzalo Higuain every Summer. The Argentine striker memorably turned the North London club down in 2013, in favour of a move to Napoli, where he has since gone on to score an impressive 91 times in 146 appearances.

Three years have since gone by without a successful attempt at securing the former Real Madrid man's signature, but now, Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Wenger may have an ace up his sleeve in the form of Olivier Giroud.

Wenger is willing to part with the inconsistent Frenchman, along with 50m euros to land Higuain in a deal that would delight Gunners fans, landing them a top class centre forward, whom they have longed for for three years, while offloading a frustrating striker who has consistently failed to deliver on a regular basis, since his arrival.
