Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss EURO 2016 after suffering his second knee injury of the season.

And despite the Ox being heralded as one of England's bright young stars when he burst on the scene in 2010, it seems Twitter wasn't that bothered with the news.

The Arsenal midfielder has endured another poor season at the Emirates, with an average rating of 6.6 from his 22 appearances (13 of which came from the bench) via whoscored.com.

Most social media users mentioned the players poor form as a reason why Oxlade-Chamberlain wouldn't have been picked by Roy Hodgson anyway.


While others pointed toward his poor injury record and lack of passion on the pitch for the Gunners in recent seasons.

It's clear very few England fans feel the former Southampton ace will be a big miss this summer:

Savage.
