Newcastle Set To Take Controversial Chelsea Player On Loan

Newcastle Set To Take Controversial Chelsea Player On Loan

After a summer where transfers have been difficult to come by for Newcastle and Rafa Benitez there could finally be some good news.

It's been such a frustrating summer for Rafa Benitez that you wonder just how many times he's reached for the inside pocket on his suit to pull out a 'fact' speech. Now there might be light at the end of the transfer tunnel.

Throughout the summer Benitez has been left baffled by the constant inability of his team to be able to sign anyone. Willy Caballero and Tammy Abraham were high up on his list but went to Chelsea and Swansea respectively.

That has meant several rumours that the Spaniard was ready to walk out on the Magpies just a year after deciding to stay with them in the Championship and months after getting them back into the Premier League.

That never really seemed likely but the former Liverpool manager certainly needed reinforcements if he wanted to keep the north east side in the Premier League past next may.

After signing Christian Atsu from Chelsea earlier this summer Newcastle are now back in for another young Blues forward with the Daily Mail reporting that Brazilian Kenedy is set to join on a season long loan.

The 21 year old forward moved to Stamford Bridge from Fluminense in 2015 and made 14 Premier League appearances in his first season in England but only played once last season.

The Brazilian was disciplined and sent home early from Chelsea's tour to the Far East after posting offensive messages on social media about the Chinese whilst in the country.

Benitez discussed his frustration over transfers with Sky Sports recently saying, "It is very hard because the prices are crazy. We missed some targets at the beginning and we are paying for that, but hopefully we can find some solutions.

"Sometimes it is not about you want, it is about what you need and what you can afford now."

Despite his frustrations Newcastle have signed Jacob Murphy, Florian Lejeune, Atsu, Javier Manquillo and Mikel Merino this summer.
