Mauricio Pochettino Reveals One Managerial Job He'd Like In The Future

Spurs fans will be hoping that their manager isn't going anywhere anytime soon if they are to continue challenging for the Premier League.

The last thing any Tottenham Hotspur fan will want to seriously consider is the idea of Mauricio Pochettino leaving them for another job. The Argentine has admitted there's one job that he does fancy in the future.

For the previous two seasons Spurs have been the best side in the Premier League without winning it. Despite finishing third two seasons ago they were the only team to challenge Leicester City and last season their 10 game winning run pushed Chelsea as far as possible.

As well as the results Pochettino has brought an excellent brand of football to White Hart Lane, and now Wembley, and helped develop the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane into being some of the top players in the league and even the world.

So even if some of those players were to leave North London the real threat for Spurs is one of the world's biggest and richest clubs coming in for their manager, the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.

But in a book coming out at the end of this month by Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, serialised in the Daily Mail, the former Espanyol defender revealed that the England job is one that interests him, saying:

"If I were to be an international manager one day, I'd relish the opportunity to coach the England national team.

"I've heard that I've been considered for the job before, but I don't know if there was any truth in it. I'd be reunited with loads of familiar faces: Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Adam Lallana."

Poch also explained the fighting spirit and passion of the English, something that is often mocked for for hiding a lack of skill, as something that appeals to him taking the job, adding: "I remember [while at Southampton] once telling Adam Lallana how taken aback I was when I first witnessed the mentality of English players up-close - their enthusiasm in training, the sparks that fly in 50-50 challenges.

"...The English are brave, honest and aggressive, and the good ones want to add to their game

"In the 2-2 draw with Chelsea when we were battling for the title, Chelsea were playing for pride. I understand and value the fact that teams in England give their all in every single game. It's a positive."

For England fans the idea might seem quite an exciting one but consider Spurs record at Wembley and you might decide against it...
