Transfer rumours involving Manchester United tend to revolve around potential incomings to Old Trafford, but a story is emerging today about a player who is set to leave the Red Devils.
Football Italia are reporting that second choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero is set for the Old Trafford exit door at the end of the season, with the Argentinean stopper set for a return to Serie A.
The 30-year-old, who arrived at United as a free agent in 2015 after a four year spell with Sampdoria, has reportedly purchased a house in Milan ahead of a move to Internazionale.

Romero has been an effective back up for David De Gea over the past two years, with the exception of an error laden performance against Swansea City at the beginning of last season. The Argentina international has made a total of 24 appearances for the FA Cup and EFL cup holders in his two years with United.
Tuttomercatoweb have claimed that the former Sampdoria stopper has been offered a two year deal with the 'Nerazurri' and would act as a back up for current number one Stefan Handanovic.

Inter's city rivals AC Milan also want to bring Romero aboard as an understudy for teenage goalkeeping sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Romero is under contract at Old Trafford for another year but it isn't believed that Jose Mourinho will stand in his way should he want to return to Serie A.
