Sometimes life just doesn't work out the way we were hoping, even after a good start. Like that time you made a hilarious joke as your intro on Tinder but never ended up meeting the girl or more likely, because who gets that good a start on Tinder, a player doesn't work out after early promise. United are set to sell one of those players.

The agreed fact of footballing life is that sometimes it's difficult for a player to get used to their new surroundings so when a player starts poorly in the Premier League we're willing to give them a bit of a pass.

Equally when a player starts well we all have the tendency to get ahead of ourselves and reckon they're the best thing sliced bread, not that sliced bread is that impressive what with us all having knives, like Gabriel Jesus' start to life in England.

Once upon-a-time Adnan Januzaj was the man who had such a blistering start to life for Manchester United that not only was he going to save David Moyes but he was also the saviour of the world, or at least that's how it felt.

Now after an unsuccessful time at Sunderland, so bad that he managed to get picked out for criticism in that team, it looks like the Belgian is finally set to leave England. According to France Football a £9.7 million deal with Real Sociedad has been agreed already.

Januzaj made 27 appearances in the league in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring four times including a wonder strike against Sunderland, but time under Louis van Gaal was limited.

After scoring the winning goal against Aston Villa in his first appearance in LvG's second season the youngster was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund but playing time wasn't regular.

He returned to Manchester and still didn't get a chance to make an impact and Mourinho sent him to the Stadium of Light for some first team football.

Life under Moyes the second time didn't work though. The team were shocking, as was the manager, as the Black Cats were relegated to the Championship.

Januzaj started well but he never backed it up and now looks set to finally leave Old Trafford for good!
