Manchester City currently sit on top of the Premier League table on alphabetical advantage and it's easy to see why with their forward line, one of whom could be signing a new contract soon.

There were big hopes of Pep Guardiola and his team last season, especially when they won the opening 10 games of the season, in all competitions, before they were shown to not have enough to win the title.

After a year under the former Barcelona manager and another wad of cash dropped on a group of players City were quickly installed as one of the favourites for this season's title, along with rivals Manchester United.

They started with some scrappy wins over Bournemouth and Brighton and a draw against Everton. But since the international break they've beaten Liverpool 5-0, Feyenoord 4-0 and Watford 6-0.

Those results have taken them top of the league with the exact record of United and it's down to their ridiculously impressive attacking options.

According to the Daily Mail the 'Citizens' have opened talks with one of that forward line to boost his basic wage with Gabriel Jesus' contract set to be improved from his £70,000-a-week basic.

Jesus only joined in January from Brazilian club Palmeiras but the 20 year-old has taken to the Premier League so well that the club want to reward him for his form already.

Last season the forward scored seven goals in 10 league appearances and threatened to displace Sergio Aguero as the team's main striker before injury put an early end to his season.

The forward cost £27 million just eight months ago and signed a deal to 2021 but he has impressed so much that the club want to sign him up to a deal that better reflects his importance to the team.

This season he has already bagged four goals in five games in a forward line that also includes Aguero, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne.

Jesus could become one of the world's best forwards if he carries on this way.
