17-year-old, who plays as a midfielder, is currently representing Brazil at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, where the Selecao have made the quarter finals and will play against Germany on Sunday.
Corinthians prodigy Vitinho has started all three game and could come up against City's English pair Joel Latibeaudiere and Phil Foden, who may well be future teammates for him at club level if City secure his services as expected.
According to Calcio Mercato, City are ahead of Roma in the race to sign Vitinho. He has a reported €25 million (£22.5million) release clause, which is interesting Roma sporting director Monchi.

When he was 15, Vitinho came over to Manchester and trained with the youth team for 10 days and even scored a goal in a game against Newcastle.

In 2015, it was reported that City have a first option for Vitinho when he turns 18 (January 2018). He trained at City as a 15-year-old. pic.twitter.com/GvEojILw2t

City have quite the Brazilian contingent in their first-team at present, with Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho and summer signings Ederson and Danilo. They also signed a third Brazilian in the summer, with highly-rated 19-year old midfielder Douglas Luiz joining from Vasco de Gama and spending the season on loan at partner club Girona in La Liga.
