Manchester United Receive Renato Sanches Transfer Boost From Bayern Munich

Now Portugal are out of the under-21 European Championships, Renato Sanches can think about his club future ahead of the new season.

The 19-year-old was subject to plenty of offers last summer but he ultimately rejected the chance to play at Manchester United in favour of a move to Germany with reigning champions Bayern Munich.

But since moving from Benfica, Sanches has failed to make his mark. It doesn't help when you barely feature - just the six starts in the Bundesliga. And to make matters worst, Carlo Ancelotti forked out a wad of cash to sign Lyon's Corentin Tolisso.

Not to mention being on the cusp of signing German sensation Julian Brandt. Reports suggest that the Bavarians will sign the midfielder with Brandt linking up with his new teammates next summer.

So where does this leave Sanches?

Well, it appears Ancelotti is prepared to offload the Portuguese. And according to reports via Sky Sports, Bayern have reportedly slashed the asking price for Sanches.

They originally slapped a £30 million tag on his head though they are now ready to listen for offers in the region of £23 million.

Needless to say, it's put clubs on alert. The report continues to claim that Manchester United have again taken up an interest in signing Sanches.

German outlet Kicker also detail how Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the player and willing to table a bid, with hopes of forging a midfield trio of Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Sanches.

Sanches may not be the only high-profile player leaving Munich. Winger Douglas Costa continues to be linked with a move away with Juventus monitoring his situation.

Though Robert Lewandowski will remain a Bayern player despite reports claiming he had held talks with United and Chelsea.
