Liverpool On The Verge Of Biggest Coup In Transfer Window

Jurgen Klopp could be about to make Liverpool's forward line one of the most feared in the Premier League.

While Chelsea chase Romelu Lukaku, Arsenal go after Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazette and Manchester United attempt to sign Alvaro Morata and possibly Cristiano Ronaldo it could be Liverpool who get the best forward signing of the summer.

World class strikers are few and far between so it's no wonder that clubs are always so desperate to get their hands on one and willing to spend a hell of a lot of money on them.

Manchester City are pretty chilled with Sergio Aguero and the potential of Gabriel Jesus in their squad whilst oddly Antonio Conte seems willing to sell a world class striker in favour of signing one who could still be one but definitely isn't just yet.

But now it looks like Jurgen Klopp could go and trump Conte, Wenger, Mourinho and possibly even Guardiola with the signing a one of the best strikers in Europe.

According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the Reds are willing to pay €70 million in order to capture the signature of Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It was thought that the Gabonese striker would be heading to PSG with the fee between the two clubs all but agreed and Aubameyang having reportedly already agreed terms.

However the buying club apparently pulled the deal. Two weeks ago the former Ligue 1 champions replaced former sporting director Patrick Kluivert with Antero Henrique and it seems the former Porto man wasn't keen on Germany's top scorer from last season.

It's thought that PSG could have cancelled the deal in order to go after Monaco's Kylian Mbappe, who is wanted by the entirety of Europe right now.

Signing Aubameyang would clearly push Liverpool into a title challenge. The 27 year old has scored 120 goals in 189 appearances for Dortmund and was brought to the German club by Klopp.

Klopp would have Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in behind the player and are also trying to negotiate for Roma's Mohamed Salah.

Could Liverpool really go for the title?
