Philippe Coutinho remains the talk of the summer window with his transfer to Barcelona in the balance. But it does appear Liverpool are resigned to losing his services, with the club plotting a deal to secure his replacement.

Barcelona have had several monstrous offers rejected by Liverpool. Though while the club are firm on their stance, Coutinho has his heart set on a move to the Camp Nou with a transfer request handed in.

What's more, the player has reportedly asked to be left out of Liverpool's Champions League campaign so he's eligible to turn out for Barcelona should he complete his move.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a host of players for his replacement. From Julian Draxler to Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, to name but a few.

But reports suggest the club have opened up talks with Bayern Munich for Renato Sanches, according to Sky Italia and Spanish outlet SPORT.

After signing with the German champions from Benfica, Sanches has failed to make a significant impression with first team opportunities hard to come by.

The 20-year-old has been subject to intense transfer speculation with Manchester United, Chelsea and AC Milan heavily linked with his talents.

Though while Chelsea and United have shown an interest, the Portuguese could eventually end up at Anfield.

Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti is prepared to let the midfielder leave the club with Liverpool set to pounce.
