Liverpool Hope To Offload Three Unwanted Players To Make Around £60 Million

Jurgen Klopp is hoping to boost his Liverpool transfer kitty by selling three players that he's got no interest in playing.

Jurgen Klopp steered his Liverpool team back into the Champions League last season but that won't be good enough for the Liverpool manager. Klopp is now looking to clear the deadwood from his team to raise transfer funds.

For years Liverpool made up the big four with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Then the Reds began to slip a little and the emergence of Manchester City and then Spurs dropped them down the pecking order.

Last season Klopp managed to rediscover some of their former competitiveness by getting them into the top four, finishing above Manchester United and Arsenal in the race for Europe's elite competition.

Now ambitions change for the Reds as they try to get back into title contention and challenge on the European front. For that the German needs to strengthen his team and get rid of those he doesn't need.

And according to The Times today the Anfield club are hoping to raise close to £60 million by selling just three players with Marco Silva interested in being reunited with Lazar Markovic after managing him on loan last season.

Markovic was one of Hull's best players last season but couldn't help save them from relegation. With Silva now at Watford he is hoping to bring the winger with him but it could cost the £20 million that Liverpool originally paid to sign him.

Klopp is also ready to move Alberto Moreno on with the Spaniard being overtaken by James Milner in the left-back position last season and only playing 12 games in the league, with 10 of those coming off the bench.

Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and AC Milan have all been linked in the past but of course the former can't sign players till January. Liverpool are hoping to get around £12 million for the player.

Finally is Mamadou Sakho who Klopp doesn't like personally. The big centre-back helped keep Crystal Palace up last season whilst on loan but his £30 million price tag and the player's Champions League ambitions rule the London club out of a move.

Liverpool are still hoping to bring Mohamed Salah to the club and there's no doubt going to be quite a few other signings to come too.
