Liverpool Fans Will Get Excited About Leon Goretzka's Social Media Activity

Like a girlfriend stalking through her boyfriend's social media activity Liverpool fans could have some very big questions to ask about potential signing Leon Goretzka and exactly what he's doing on Instagram.

Lord knows where we were before social media. Like how did we get to know about transfer rumours before we could decide in our heads where a player was going just by going on his Insta or Twitter 'likes' and solving the mystery.

Despite Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil being available for free in the summer it might be Leon Goretzka who is the most sought after. The Schalke player will be chased by many when his deal is out in June.

The midfielder reportedly spent part of training on his own.

The 24 year-old could play a major role in Germany's defence of the World Cup but before that we're likely to know where he's moved. Could it be to Anfield? Well his recent activity on Instagram could hint that way.

Taking a look at his likes someone noticed that he'd double tapped an image on Jurgen Klopp at Anfield reading 'Jurgen Klopp passion:'

There had been reports in Spain that the player had already agreed a move to Bayern Munich, a blow to Liverpool and Barcelona, who have both been heavily linked with moves for the player.

However the midfielder's agent Jorg Neubauer denied those reports on Sport 1 saying, "When a decision has been made, Leon and I will first inform Schalke," giving renewed hope to the many European sides interested in him.

Schalke CEO Christian Heidel has also had his say on any potential move, saying, "Leon has yet to inform us that he has decided for a move, and I trust Leon and his agent, with whom I only had contact yesterday."

Goretzka

Liverpool have already strengthened their midfield for next season. Last summer they did a deal with another German side, RB Leipzig, to sign Naby Keita but could lose Emre Can on a free themselves.

Goretska will be hoping to get a place in Germany's starting XI for the summer's World Cup but by then he will already be on his way to one of Europe's biggest clubs, could it be Liverpool?
