Liverpool Consider Move For Yet Another Southampton Player

Another one?

A lot of Liverpool's transfer strategy over the last few seasons seems to be based on waiting for Southampton's players to do impress enough to move to Anfield only for the Saints to replace those players with even better performing ones. Now the Reds are targeting another Southampton player.

In the past couple of years the Anfield side have brought in Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne from the south coast club with mixed fortunes for those players.

With Jurgen Klopp now the manager in Merseyside you might have thought that the scouting at Anfield would be a bit more intelligent considering his reputation for a brilliant bargain but no he's once again just stealing Southampton's ideas, tongue firmly in cheek.

According to the Daily Mail, after missing out on Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze the former Dortmund manager will turn his attention to Saints forward Sadio Mane and will face competition from Manchester United and Spurs, other teams with no ideas of their own.

Klopp had been hoping to be reunited with World Cup winner Gotze after the pair worked together at Borussia Dortmund however Carlo Ancelotti's arrival at the Allianz Arena seems to have scuppered that move.

Mane became a surprise target for Manchester United last summer but that move failed materiale however after a season in which Ronald Koeman's side finished sixth in the league, with Mane scoring 11 times, interest in the Ghanaian is expected to be high again this summer.

Is Mane a good choice instead of Gotze?
