If you've got a player like Lionel Messi at your club, and by that I mean literally only Lionel Messi because no player is like him, then it pays to keep him happy. If that means signing who he wants then he's apparently named the four players he'd like to join him at Barcelona.

The season isn't quite over for Barca, they have the Copa del Rey final to look forward to already, but they are already all but out of the Champions League after their 4-0 loss to PSG.

Sure they are now top after Real Madrid's surprise draw to Las Palmas but they've come nowhere near the heights of the last two La Liga seasons in which they've twice captured the title and could easily drop to third if Sevilla keep up their form, even if they are currently top.

And now Barcelona know that next season they'll be needing a new manager with Luis Enrique announcing after the 6-1 midweek victory over Sporting Gijon that he'll be leaving the Camp Nou at the end of the season.

According to Diario Gol the Argentine superstar has named five players he wants the new man to bring in whoever that is.

Messi apparently wants a striker in the form of either Celtic's Moussa Dembele or Eibar's Sergi Enrich, a central midfielder from either Isco or Marco Verratti, Hector Bellerin to play at right back and a centre back in the form of Yerry Mina.

The paper claims that the Argentine would like to see a striker replace Paco Alcacer who has struggled since joining from Valencia to play second fiddle to himself, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

A midfielder is needed with Andres Iniesta ageing and Andre Gomes having not lived up to expectation.

The most pressing need for Barca is at right back where Alex Vidal, now injured, hasn't replaced Dani Alves and Sergi Roberto had failed to shine in the new position. Bellerin seems an obvious choice having been a former Barca youngster.

Centre back Yerry Mina reportedly has a deal in place with the La Liga champions where they can sign him within the next two seasons. Marquinhos and Aymeric Laporte are also possible signings instead.

Messi also prefers Chilean and Seville manager Jorge Sampaoli to take over from Luis Enrique.
