Lionel Messi Names The FOUR Players He Wants At Barcelona

A deal for Philippe Coutinho appears to be in the works, but Lionel Messi has reportedly named a few other players he wants at Barcelona.

The January transfer window is open which means the rumour mills churning in overdrive.

And the latest batch of reports emerging from Spain suggest Messi has demanded Barcelona to sign FOUR players this month.

Barcelona are flying high in the La Liga, and in the next round of the Champions League, but ahead of the second half of the season, Messi wants new talent through the Camp Nou doors.

According to claims via Mirror, Messi wants Mesut Ozil, among others.

The German midfielder is subject to intense transfer speculation since entering his final year at Arsenal.

He remains heavily linked with a move away, with the likes of Manchester United also keeping tabs on his situation.

Talking of United.

The report continues to say Messi also wants Spanish duo Ander Herrera and Juan Mata at Barcelona.

Ex-Athletic Bilbao player Herrera previously worked under current Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde. While Mata enjoyed a stint at Valencia before waving goodbye to the La Liga for the Premier League in 2011.

Finally, he's told the club should snap up Schalke's in-demand midfielder Leon Goretzka.

The powerful German midfielder is attracting plenty of interest from around Europe, including Jurgen Klopp who's an avid admirer of his work.

As well as Liverpool, Bayern Munich have also expressed a desire to sign him.

So, there you have it, Messi has apparently told the Barcelona bosses to sign Ozil, Herrera, Mata and Goretzka.
