Leicester City Bid £23 Million for 'Gabigol'

Leicester City have submitted a £23.2 million offer for Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa.

After tying down manager Claudio Ranieri to a new deal, it appears they are now keen to continue bolstering their squad for the defence of the Premier League title.

The Santos forward is in high demand with Serie A pair Juventus and Inter Milan also eager to sign the 19-year-old who's contract runs until 2019.

The players agent is set to discuss his future once the Olympics is finished. Wagner Ribeiro told Lance via The Guardian; "When the Olympics finish - with the gold medal, God willing - we will sit round the table and resolve his future. We are calm. When the Olympics finish I will sit down with Gabigol and his family and decide his future."

The Foxes have already enhanced their attacking line with the £16 million acquisition of Ahmed Musa while holding onto Jamie Vardy. But could this be a replacement for Riyad Mahrez? The Algerian has been subject to intense transfer speculation with a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea muted.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian is currently competing in the Olympics as the host nation go after their maiden gold medal. Leicester fans can see what all the fuss is about as he's in action tomorrow against Denmark.
