You can barely move in League One for teams who used to be in the Premier League. One of those clubs is Oldham Athletic who are looking to employ a very surprising new boss to keep them out of League Two.
Many teams have tried to keep themselves in the Premier League, many have failed. It's why the likes of Stoke City, West Brom and Bournemouth managing to establish themselves as regular fixtures is always so impressive.
Often the biggest problem when a club goes down isn't trying to get back up but actually trying not to go down again. The likes of Manchester City, Leeds United, Southampton, Leicester City, both Sheffield clubs and even former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers, plus many others have befallen that fate.

Even worse though are the likes of Blackpool, Coventry and Portsmouth who have found themselves in League Two not long after life in the top tier. Now Oldham Athletic are attempting to not be the next in that list and sacked manager John Sheridan to help them.
Now, as reported by the Mirror, they are looking at recruiting four times Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf, in arguably the most surprising potential appointment going.

And just in case you think that there's no way this is happening the Dutchman was even spotted being given a tour around the club's training facilities earlier today and reportedly dined in nearby Manchester too:

The former Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder, who is the only man to win the Champions League with three different clubs, is up against Alan Stubbs and Darren Ferguson for the job.
Seedorf has previously managed Milan and Chinese side Shenzhen, both for a short time, but Oldham will be hoping he's good enough to lift them from 23rd in League One.
