Barcelona Eye Dani Alves Replacement

Would he move?

Footballers are a competitive lot who always want to be number one however Dani Alves can probably accept being Barcelona's second most successful foreign player behind Lionel Messi. Despite that the club are eyeing up his successor.

Alves has been excellent for Barca since signing for them from Sevilla in 2008 and has helped them win five league titles and three Champions League titles. However at 32 and with game time lessening he may fancy leaving the Camp Nou for one final pay cheque.

The Brazilian has been linked with moves to PSG and both Manchester clubs for a few years but could now collect a load of money by heading to China. And reports in Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo say that Barcelona will attempt to bring Hector Bellerin 'home' from London as his replacement.

Bellerin is a product of Barcelona's infamous youth academy and a move back to Barcelona would be very similar to the Cesc Fabregas story, although we imagine with far more success than when Fabregas returned to Catalonia.

Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the 21 year-old should he become available but the Gunners would surely be reluctant to sell especially with the full-back having several years left on his current deal.
