Juventus completed a huge deal by extending Paulo Dybala's contract, and they're back at it again after sealing a transfer of a promising youngster.

The club have confirmed the signing of Rodrigo Bentancur from Boca Juniors.

Bentancur, 19, has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal from 1 July 2017 until 30 June 2022.

After courting plenty of attention, the Uruguayan midfielder joins Juventus for €9.5 million which will be paid in two financial years.

He finally joins the Turin-based club after being heavily linked with them. And their newest signing will come as a blow to Manchester United.

Here's how Manchester United missed out on him, thanks to Carlos Tevez

When Carlos Tevez was sold by Juventus in the summer of 2015, the Italian giants were incredibly clever to include a clause in his contract.

Boca Juniors eventually bought Tevez for a reported fee of around 6.5 million, which in my eyes, is an absolute steal for a man who has played for the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus.

Well, they didn't just give in for 6.5 million.

It turns out Juve had an agreement with Boca to have first refusal on a handful of youngsters in their squad and one of them was highly-rated midfielder Bentancur, a player who attracted interest from several European clubs this summer.

Back in October, Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici confirmed that the deal was going ahead:

"It is already signed. When I was in Switzerland recently Juventus informed me that that they were going to activate the option so I will travel to Turin soon in order to complete the deal," Angelici told TyC Sports.

"I think it's very good business for Boca. Juventus will pay €7.5m for 50 per cent of his rights.

"He must have something because there were a lot of clubs interested. Real Madrid made a proposal, Manchester United also came and Milan made a €14m formal offer to sign him."

There you have it.
