AS Roma have made one of the biggest signings of the transfer window so far by confirming the capture of Justin Kluivert from Dutch side Ajax.

There are certain players who are destined to make a pretty big money move from the moment they come to our attention and Justin Kluivert definitely fits into that mould and there's certainly even more room for him to go much bigger.

Kluivert is only 19 and only played for Ajax's first team for the previous two seasons but the son of former Barcelona striker Partick has caught the attention of many, including Jose Mourinho.

The Manchester United manager was impressed with the teenager during Ajax's run to the 2017 Europa League final where they faced, and lost to, the Premier League giants.

But it's not the Old Trafford outfit who have snaffled him up but instead Serie A side Roma with the Italian outfit unveiling him on Twitter today.

Kluivert's deal at the Stadio Olimpico runs until 2023 and he will cost the club an initial €17.25 million with another €1.5 million due in bonuses to the Eredivisie club.

Last season Kluivert scored 10 goals and assisted five in the league as the Amsterdam club finished four points behind rivals PSV in the league in second place.

Kluivert's dad Patrick was a legendary forward in the 90s and early 00s, winning the Champions League with Ajax before moving on to Milan and latterly Barcelona, where he scored 122 goals in 257 games.

His son is a very different player but could be every bit as good, if not better, than his dad. The move to Roma could just be the beginning.
