Manchester United have been handed a huge boost to their summer plans with reports that Jadon Sancho will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Sancho moved to Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City, in search of more first team football, and has become an integral member of the German team whilst also becoming an England international.

According to Sky Sports the 19-year-old is going to leave Dortmund at the end of the season with United keen on bringing him to Old Trafford.

Reports in England earlier in the day had claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team were ready to spend £120 million to bring the former City youth player back to England.

It's expected that Chelsea will be the biggest competition for the Red Devils to bring the teenager, who turns 20 next month, back to the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, United believe they can edge out their rivals in what is 'becoming a two horse race for his signature.'

This season the forward has already scored 12 goals in 19 appearances in the Bundesliga and has put on 13 assists for his teammates.

His record in the Champions League is also decent with two goals and two assists in the Group Stages, in which Dortmund played in the group of death, qualifying ahead of Inter and behind Barcelona.

Last season he scored the same amount of goals and got one more assist in the league than the current campaign showing more signs of progress for a player who has already become one of the best in the world.

Dortmund have a reputation for signing players young for very little and then selling them for huge profits, repeating the trick and barely feeling any damage to their standing.

Last year they sold Christian Pulisic to Chelsea, in part because Sancho had overtaken him as first choice, but they remain third in the Bundesliga, just four points below top of the table Bayern Munich.

Lucian Favre's side signed Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt to replace Pulisic and would no doubt have something lined up should Sancho leave.

The England international is likely to be a member of Gareth Southgate's squad for the Euros this summer and any club would want to get a deal done early incase his performances bump the price up.

Where will Sancho be playing next season?
