As noted by Birmingham Mail, ever since Tony Pulis took the reins at West Brom, Nagatomo has been heavily linked with making the move to the Hawthorns.
But their capture of Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal for £5 million means a left-back, which is Nagataomo's preferred position, isn't a necessity and a deal isn't isn't as likely as it would be for Burnley or Newcastle.

The former FC Tokyo and Cesena man would arrive in the Premier League with a wealth of experience, having been capped 95 times for Japan.
The versatile player is said to have been offered a new contract by Inter but is still weighing up his options and is yet to put pen to paper.
Nagatomo joined Inter in 2011, initially on loan before the deal became permanent shortly after. He has won one Coppa Italia in his time in Milan.
