Hector Bellerin Drops Hint At Return To Barcelona

The Arsenal right back sounds very unsure on his future in north London.

It wouldn't be an international week without a footballer talking to his countries press about a possible move away from the Premier League and this time it's Hector Bellerin who's dropped hints at a return to the Camp Nou.

Whilst the football season may seem over we've actually got lots of international football to look forward to in the coming weeks, my tongue may have been in my cheek a little bit there.

This week there's World Cup qualifiers and friendlies on the agenda but there's also Confederations Cup and European U21 championships to really get our teeth into and international football is where the Premier League footballers go back to their home countries and drop hints at returns.

Hector Bellerin has followed the rumours that Barcelona will try and re-sign him from Arsenal for £45 million this summer by dropping hints left and right with Mundo Deportivo, via Sport Witness, that he could move back home.

Talking to the Catalan newspaper Bellerin refused to rule out a move saying, "That's what is being spoken about [an exit from Arsenal]. You never know what can happen...I signed the new contract at Christmas, the contracts are in charge, although in football you never know what can happen.

"...It's a very nice thing to know about the interest of a club like Barça, the club where I grew up since I was a kid. I don't know anything at the moment, I'm Arsenal player and we'll see what happens."

Significantly the 22 year-old, who found himself out of the mix at the back end of the season because of Arsene Wenger's change to a three man defence, was also asked about playing in the Champions League and reiterated how important the competition was to play in:

"The truth is that all players of the top level want to fight for the Champions League, especially when you've been fighting in it for two years. We as a team have not achieved the classification and it is something that we all want to fix, but as a player I repeat that it is an important competition."

Finally Bellerin, who will play for Spain in the under 21s this off-season, said that his hometown was a better place to live in than London and revealed his family had moved back to Barcelona, ""I have always been very good, my family settled there [London] with me, although now for family matters they have had to return to Barcelona. Now I have a harder time, because I am a very family orientated person, I depend on them a lot, and it will be a new challenge to be without them."

Previously the Arsenal player has avoided being so open about a possible return to the Camp Nou but now it seems very possible!
