Following Juventus' acquisition of Gonzalo Higuain, Napoli are already planning a swoop with that huge cash injection.

The Serie A champions completed a reported staggering £75.3 million deal to bring the Argentine forward to Turin, while the Naples club are sitting on quite a pile of money.

Live pictures of Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis are surfacing.

Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Napoli are favourites to land Matteo Darmian's services, though will have to fend off competition from both Chelsea and Juventus. They are also in talks to sign Arsenal target Mauro Icardi, but expect them to be held ransom with the whopping transfer budget available.

The Italian defender joined United from Torino but failed to hold down a starting spot making 28 appearances yet with the arrival of new manager Jose Mourinho, it's believed he has been deemed surplus to requirements as the Portuguese manager continues his streamlining of the squad.

The 26-year-old was last in action for Italy during the Euro's where his biggest involvement consisted of his penalty miss against Germany.

What do you say United fans, will you be happy to see the back of Darmian? Sound off in the comments section below.
