Harry Redknapp Didn't Agree With A Striker Asking For A Goal Bonus

Harry Redknapp clearly isn't a fan of a 'goal bonus' with the former Spurs manager once telling BT Sport that he questioned a striker during contract negotiations.
Back in February the 71-year-old former manager, whose last job in charge of Birmingham City in 2017, was discussing contract negotiations on BT's 'Premier League Tonight'.
The former QPR boss revealed a conversation he had during one negotiation when a striker wanted more money just for scoring goals.
While the former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth boss didn't name the player or the club that it happened at, his response to the striker was nothing short of hilarious.
"I signed a player once," he said, before adding: "Top player. Fantastic player.
"We'd done the deal, then he wanted a goal bonus. He was a striker. I said: 'What do you think we're paying you 50 grand a week for, to miss them?'"
What a t'riffic response from Redknapp.
Redknapp's last major role, other than as a tv pundit, was on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' at the end of last year.
The manager turned pundit made a lot people fall in love with him on the programme, especially because of how much he missed his wife Sandra and his disappointment of missing out on jam roly poly.

During his managerial career Redknapp was well known for his 'wheeler dealer' status, although he once told an interviewer to 'f*ck off' when they suggested as much, and the transfer window isn't the same without him.
The window hasn't been short of a few brilliant transfers but with 'Deadline Day' just over two weeks away you'd be lying if you didn't admit it's all round much better with 'Arry' sticking his head out of his car window to do an interview.
In the current climate no matter what team he was managing you can imagine him trying to get a deal done for Gareth Bale, after Zinedine Zidane basically begged anyone to take the Welshman off his hands.
