Karim Benzema isn't exactly having the season you'd expect from a Real Madrid striker. Could the Frenchmans days at the Bernabeu be numbered? There's certainly some teams hoping to swoop in should he get the boot.

Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez seem to really like Karim Benzema and he does have a record of scoring a lot of goals but plenty of people have questioned if the Frenchman is good enough for Real Madrid.

The 30 year old left Lyon for Madrid in 2009, the same summer Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Spanish capital, and has bagged himself 125 goals in 262 La Liga games.

That's a decent return but most people suggest that anyone in his situation, surrounded by the likes of Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and so forth, would scored as many goals and someone like Sergio Aguero would get even more.

This term Los Blancos have struggled somewhat and the former Lyon man is at the heart of those struggles, scoring just three La Liga goals in 18 games thus far.

There's rumours Real will look to reinvigorate their forward line this summer and according to Le10Sport, via AS, there's four French sides who want to sign Benzema in Lyon, PSG, Marseille and Monaco.

According to the report his former club want him back as a replacement for current striker Mariano. The Spanish born forward, who represents the Dominican Republic has only been in Ligue 1 for one season, after signing for Real, but is being linked with a move to Atletico.

PSG on the other hand could move for the striker if Edinson Cavani is to leave. The Parisians are wrapped up in things even more as the Real overhaul of the forwards could include Neymar and then the Ligue 1 leaders could replace him with Benzema instead.

The report goes on to say that sources close to the player think that Benzema could be up for the move. He is reportedly fed up of criticism and only feels support from Zidane.

With Real 14 points off Barcelona they only really have the Champions League to play for this term and then Perez is likely to oversee an overhaul of the squad and need to sign a Galactico.

Is Benzema's time in Madrid over?
