January is approaching which means transfer rumours are about to get intensified as managers across the leagues eye up new talent to bolster their squads for the second half of the season. And a line coming out of Spanish outlet Marca are reporting quite a sensational double transfer to Real Madrid.

Per their sources, they're reporting that Real are plotting moves for the return of not one but two former stars in Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and PSG's Angel Di Maria.

This will no doubt come as worrying news for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal faithfuls after Ozil has delayed extending his contract as the German continues to linked with a move away from North London. His contract expires just a tad over 18-months with the club yet to meet his wage demands.

(Could Ozil and Di Maria be reunited?)

Meanwhile, Marca also reveal that Di Maria "is not suited to the French team and he yearns for Real Madrid" and it's believed that the Argentine winger isn't happy in Paris. Following his whopping transfer to Manchester United then to PSG, Di Maria has failed to replicate the form at ether club which he displayed during his stint with Real.

The pair left the Bernabeu in 2013 and 2014, respectively, both heading to England but experienced different joys in the Premier League. Despite initially struggling, Ozil's produced scintillating performances subsequently being heralded as one of the finest midfielders in Europe. Conversely, Di Maria was offloaded to the French giants after a disappointing spell at Old Trafford.

Between the two, they've won the lot for the 'Los Blancos' from the La Liga to the Champions League, could we have a reunion on the cards?
