Liverpool put aside the heartbreak of losing the Champions League final against Real Madrid very quickly by splashing out on Monaco's Fabinho on Monday night and Roberto Firmino might be to thank for the signing.
Retail therapy is an oft repeated cure for being a bit down. Who doesn't love lifting their spirits after a shitty day by spending money on something they probably don't need and arguably can't afford but it makes you feel good.
In fairness to Jurgen Klopp he's at least curing his sadness of losing the Champions League final on the weekend on something he does need with the Reds signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho being confirmed on Monday night.
The former Monaco player used to play at right back but in recent seasons has moved into a very good midfielder and will add quality and depth to Klopp's midfield as they look to improve for next season.

Speaking to the club's website after signing the Brazilian revealed that a conversation with fellow countryman Roberto Firmino helped persuade him to move, saying:
"We spoke a bit more about how the city was, about the infrastructure of the club, the city and we also spoke about the coaches and how they do their work.
"So I was able to know a bit more about Liverpool through Firmino. I had been with him at the Brazilian national team on a few occasions.
"I know he's a fantastic person, his background is from nice people. He is also very good for someone who comes to a new country, a new city - someone who speaks the same language.

"This will of course make the adaptation much easier."
A player adapting to English football is usually the biggest problem when they move from elsewhere to the Premier League but Firmino has certainly showed the way for his fellow Brazilian, scoring 36 league goals in his opening three seasons at Anfield.
And Fabinho believes he will also adapt, adding, "I believe I am a player that can organise the game well for my team. I play with a lot of intensity and I'm quite strong in man-marking.

"Hopefully I will have no difficulty in adapting to this type of football. I know that the type of football here is quite intense and physical but I think I got some of that while playing in France and I hope I won't find any problems to adapt to this league."
