Everton Eye Replacement Transfer If Michael Keane Deal Doesn't Happen

Everton want to sign Burnley's centre-back but things might now work out so they've got another transfer in mind.

Everton have really been on top of things in the transfer window so far and they aren't finished yet. Ronald Koeman is still hoping to sign Burnley's Michael Keane but if not he's got a plan b.

Whilst all of the 'big' clubs in the Premier League circle the biggest names in football for some ridiculous money the team just outside the 'big six' have easily been the early winners of the transfer window.

Sure Manchester City signed the extremely talented Bernardo Silva and a much needed goalkeeper in Ederson but they've also paid a lot more money than Everton have for their almost like for like transfers.

The Toffees signed Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen earlier this week for just over £40 million initially to show that they really mean business this summer and things are far from over.

Ronald Koeman's side are expected to sign Sandro in the next few days and they hope to add Michael Keane to the list. However, according to the Daily Mail, they are ready to move for Arsenal's Calum Chambers if they feel they are being held to ransom by Burnley.

According to the report Chambers, who can play at centre-back and right-back, could be available from Arsenal for £15 million even though Arsene Wenger would prefer not to sell the player.

The Arsenal boss would prefer it if the 22 year-old, who was on loan to Middlesbrough last season, once again only left the club temporarily but won't stand in his way if someone matches the asking price and the player wants to leave.

Keane was brilliant for the Clarets last season and attracted a lot of attention, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea all linked previously, but his contract ends next summer.

Everton don't want to pay over the odds for the centre-back but on the other side Sean Dyche is not wanting to lose the player for cheap even with the possibility of the Englishman leaving on a free next summer.

It's been a good summer at Goodison Park so far and it's not even July yet!
