Jim White is having a field day with all these possible transfers that aren't going to go anywhere but it looks like Everton could be about to make a double swoop for a pair of Barcelona players.
We hope you're all somehow containing your excitement as some bloke in a grey suit reads out tweets from people who are also watching the television. Yeah, that's what this Transfer Deadline Day has got to.
Basically there's not a lot of actual deals going on at the moment and instead it's just a constant stream of Manchester United being linked to yet another centre back whilst fans of the club wonder if that actually should be their priority.

One of those defenders was Yerry Mina but the Colombian, who enhanced his reputation during the World Cup but still wasn't actually wanted by his own club Barcelona, but they'll also be missing out on him.
That's because Mina looks set to join Everton. As the reporter outside the Toffees training ground has told us several times on Sky Sports it's nearly a done deal.
According to Mundo Deportivo though Mina won't be the only Barca man moving to Merseyside. The Catalan newspaper say that Andre Gomes will also be joining Marco Silva's side.
It's an incredible double swoop for Everton, when you consider that those two players are so good they were offered to United as a replacement for Paul Pogba!

Okay I might be being slightly sarcastic about that last point and they are instead merely two players that the Camp Nou side have been pretty desperate to get rid of all summer.
Mina only joined Ernesto Valverde's side last January and despite his three goals in Russia for Colombia he's not been considered good enough and they signed Clément Lenglet this summer.
Gomes hasn't been a hit in Barcelona since he moved from Valencia two seasons ago and has only 46 games in La Liga in that time, most of them from the bench.

For Everton though they are good additions to Silva's side to go along with the acquisitions of Richarlison and Lucas Digne, the latter also from Barcelona.
