Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland looks set to make a big money move to Manchester United with the player reportedly on his way to Manchester.

Haaland's form this season has put lots of elite clubs on notice, with United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heavily linked with a move for the Norwegian.

Now it seems he's on his way to Old Trafford, with Norwegian outlet Aftenbladet reporting that the player is currently on board a plane, with dad Alf Inge Haaland, to Manchester for talks with the club.

The 19-year-old has quickly become one of the most exciting prospects in European football and has scored eight goals in six appearances in the Champions League, whilst also taking the Austrian Bundesliga by storm, with 16 goals from 14 appearances.

That has brought the attention of lots of Europe's elite teams with Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and United linked with him, as well as Salzburg's sister side RB Leipzig.

The striker visited both Dortmund and Leipzig in recent weeks whilst Solskjaer reportedly went to visit the player in Austria, having previously signed him for Molde in January 2017.

Leipzig reportedly have an agreement with Salzburg where they can sign the forward for just £20 million but the player will have the final choice to where he goes.

Any other club are likely to have to pay much more than that, with some quoting up to £76 million, and may have to send the forward back on loan to Salzburg for the rest of the season.

According to Spanish paper Marca, Leipzig could fall behind their rivals for the player's signature because they aren't willing to match his huge wage demands.

Whilst United have shown improvement under Solskjaer in recent weeks, with wins over Manchester City and Spurs, they have still struggled with goals, especially against sides lower down the table.

Marcus Rashford has 10 league goals so far this season but Anthony Martial is second with just four and there's no doubt they could do with the extra goal scoring prowess of Haaland.

The Red Devils have also adopted a policy of signing younger players under Solskjaer, but will they capture one of the hottest properties in football?
