Chelsea's brilliant No.10 arrived at Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1, but could he return to France's top flight?

Well, Eden Hazard hasn't ruled out a transfer back to France. Though he has explained why it won't be Paris Saint-Germain should such move transpire.

The French giants captured not one but TWO enormous transfers over the summer window following the signings of Neymar then Kylian Mbappe.

PSG's Qatar-owners forked out nearly £400 million pounds on the pair of attacking talents, and they'll continue to flex their financial muscle in the coming markets.

And despite Hazard only returning to full fitness, he continues to be heavily linked with a move away. Real Madrid were reportedly hellbent on snapping him up but to no prevail.

However, could the current French leaders lure Hazard to the capital?

Nope. That's because if Hazard returned to France, he'd head back to where it all began as a professional.

"If I am to return [to France] it will be to play for Lille - they are my club," Hazard told SFR Sport via Goal.

The 26-year-old graduated from the Lille youth ranks before playing for the senior side in 2007. After rising to prominence with Lille, Chelsea splashed out £32 million for his services.

But since leaving France, the division now sees some of the biggest names in the sport. Though, according to Hazard, the league has always been attractive, yet new stars plying their trade there is only a good thing.

"There are some big clubs, and it was an attractive league even when I played in it six years ago. Big stars want to play in Ligue 1, and that is a good thing."

Hazard added: "I still have a career to carve out, with a number of seasons ahead of me."

While PSG have the financial backing to sign a player like Hazard, he's effectively dismissed the club as a potential future employer.
