Club Want To Sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic To Create Ridiculous Strike Pairing

Ibrahimovic is without a club after his Manchester United contract expired and next season he could be part of an incredible strike force.

There isn't a hotter free agent around right now other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, no matter what John Cena might think, and a new club have entered the race to sign the big Swede.

At 35 Zlatan came, saw, conquered and left the Premier League. That was after people questioned whether or not he could make it in England at his age, by the end they were questioning if Manchester United should have let him go even despite his injury.

In truth the ACL injury that Ibra picked up in the last minute of the Europa League quarter final ended not only his season but his whole year in term of playing as he isn't expected back till the beginning of 2018.

That meant that the former AC Milan striker didn't get the extension to his one year contract that he might have been hoping for and he was released by the club instead,

There is a chance that he could re-sign once his injury is healed but other clubs have been linked too. Today Spanish paper Sport say that Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign PSG's all time top scorer.

Potentially that move makes sense. Atleti are currently under a transfer ban and can't register players until January and Zlatan's under no rush to find a new club so it could work for both sides.

We know that Diego Simeone's club also want to sign a new striker, when they can sign players, as they want their former striker Diego Costa back from Chelsea.

But perhaps surprisingly is the fact that Sport say this isn't an either/or situation and the Madrid side actually want to bring both Ibrahimovic and Costa to the club.

Of course that would mean having two strikers join in January who wouldn't have played all season to that point, as Chelsea are unlikely to be willing to sell the Spanish forward in January as they try to offload him in the summer and sign his replacement.

It would be a bit of a gamble for Costa and would also cost a lot in wages.

Could the duo work together?
