Manchester United and Manchester City have shown they mean business ahead of next season and Antonio Conte isn't the kind of man to get left behind. The new Chelsea manager is ready to spend a lot on a new striker.
Chelsea had an extremely disappointing defence of their title and for the first time in the Roman Abramovich era they'll be spending the season outside of the Champions League and also completely out of Europe.
That won't stop new manager Antonio Conte battling for the title and the Italian has made a £41.5 million bid for Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani but according to reports the Ligue 1 champions want £25 million more.
Conte has already spent big on former Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi this summer but is expected to play an attacking 4-2-4 formation so will need more than one striker.

He is reportedly keen on Cavani with Diego Costa still being targeted by Atletico Madrid trying to bring their former striker back to the Vicente Calderon.
Chelsea have already seen a move for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata rejected and PSG want £66.5 million for the man who is their number one striker, now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has moved.
Cavani could try to make the position he's wanted at PSG his but could also seek to have a new challenge in the Premier League.
