Edinson Cavani's lucrative contract with Paris-Saint Germain expires in 2020 as the lethal Uruguayan is already tentatively plotting his next move away from France.

The 30-year-old has enjoyed four seasons at the Parc des Prince, holding aloft the league title in the last three years and could make it four if they can pip AS Monaco ahead of the home stretch.

And with the season drawing to and end, Cavani has suggested his next move while remaining adamant that he wants to finish at a high level, effectively ruling out the money-rich Chinese Super League and MLS.

"I hope to finish with football at a high level and I want to be the one to leave football rather than the other way around." He told Sky Italia via 101 Great Goals.

Continuing by saying he could return to Italy with Napoli where he came from to join PSG.

"I'm not sure if after Paris St Germain I'll make another decision. I could just return to Napoli before going home. There were some special moments there."

Detailing the potential move back to Naples where he had three consecutive prolific seasons.

"I believe that was the period in which everything changed, it was thanks to Mazzarri who wanted me there, my teammates, the people who made me feel like an idol there. It's normal that someone who passed a period like that in his life would want to return, and if I do I still want to be in shape."

Cavani caused havoc in the Serie A from 2010 to 2013, bagging 104 goals in just 138 appearances winning the solitary Coppa Italia in the 2011/12 campaign.

As expected, Juventus have ran away with the Scudetto with Napoli involved in a race for second spot with AS Roma.

But if Napoli could once again call upon Cavani's services, they could potentially mount a challenge for the coveted prize.
