Dimitri Payet appears edging closer to the West Ham exit following the reports that his current club have agreed in principle to sell the Frenchman to Marseille after a meeting today.
According to French outlet L'Equipe, his former side Marseille will make a new formal offer in the coming hours for Payet to West Ham.
The once adored player is now a figure of hate after the West Ham faithfuls demonstrated their anger during their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Following the revelation from the Hammers boss revealing that Payet has refused to train and play for the club, his future has been subject to intense speculation.
Prompting a string of sides entering their name to acquire his services from Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
But a move back to Ligue 1 with Marseille is on the verge of being finalised. The French side had two bids rejected last week, yet it seems West Ham have finally succumbed to their pressure agreeing to offload him in principal.
