Big news is surfacing from France as Arsenal have submitted a huge £44 million bid.

Arsenal remain in the thick of transfer activity following the ongoing Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez saga's. Not to mention keeping tabs on AS Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe after reportedly offering a massive £87 million bid.

As well as the budding 18-year-old, Arsenal have also expressed a strong interest in Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and continue to be heavily linked with him.

And according to reports from France, Arsenal have tabled a £44 million bid for the French striker per L'Equipe.

The report also suggests Arsenal are 'very close' to reaching an agreement with Lyon.

It appeared Arsenal lost the race to Lacazette after he opted to head to the La Liga with Atletico Madrid. But after the CAS upheld the clubs transfer ban it prevented his move from being complete.

Though a move to the Emirates seems back on track and close to being finalised. The 26-year-old is also keen on making the switch to the Premier League and is set to meet with Arsenal next week.

Lacazette bagged an incredible 37 goals in 45 games in all competitions last season, including 28 in the league as well as seven in Europe.

More to follow.
