Bournemouth have been heavily linked with a few members of the Chelsea squad, and the clubs have finally struck a deal.

Eddie Howe is seeking to reinforce his squad ahead of the new campaign and has been monitoring the likes of Nathan Ake and John Terry who is set to continue his playing career away from Chelsea.

Ake enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bournemouth last season before eventually being recalled. Though the club did attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

While they were unsuccessful in trying to lure Ake back to the South Coast, the club have completed a deal to sign keeper Asmir Begovic with Chelsea accepting a £10 million bid. The 29-year-old has undergone an official medical as well as agreeing personal terms.

Just like Ake, Bournemouth also placed an offer for Begovic in January though Chelsea were reluctant to offload their second keeper without finding a replacement.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international joined Chelsea from Stoke City in 2015 after starring for the Potters between the sticks, compiling 160 league appearances in six seasons.

Following his heroics for Stoke, Chelsea acquired his services for £8 million and while he featured in 17 league appearance, he only played two league games in the subsequent campaign.

A lack of playing time has prompted his departure from Stamford Bridge as he returns to Bournemouth. Begovic was loaned out to The Cherries in the 2007/08 season playing eight games in League One.

With Bournemouth securing their first summer signing, could Begovic be joined by his teammate?

Howe is still keen on bringing Ake and will continue his pursuit of the defender.

What's more, the young English boss is also keeping tabs on Terry. The experienced Premier League winning defender remains intent on continuing his playing career with Bournemouth a possible option.

Could Ake and Terry be next?
