After football decided it wanted at least another two years before coming home we can now return to the real stuff, transfer news! Barcelona are trying to sign one player from the Premier League for next season.

The World Cup has been bloody marvellous, whether you're an England fan, a fan of someone else in the competition or if your team never even got to the finals.

But now there is just two games left; Saturday's third place play-off between England and Belgium and Sunday's final between France and someone else, I forget who (yeah I'm as bitter as a Scottish person changing their Twitter bio every three days to incorporate a new flag).

That means soon all our fun will be over for another two years, until the Euros- even if they aren't quite as good- and it's back to concentrating on the Premier League which for now seems a little mundane.

Until all of Europe's leagues kick off again it's down to concentrating on the big summer friendlies and more transfer stories than you can fit into a day.

Let's be honest there's a good chance we've already seen the biggest transfer of the summer with Cristiano Ronaldo heading to Juventus but there's still some tasty stuff about.

According to the Daily Mail Barcelona have made a second bid for Chelsea's Willian with the La Liga champions offering £60 million for Barcelona's right winger.

The English paper say that the Catalan giants have offered £55 million up front for the Brazilian with a further £5 million to come in adds ons.

Ernesto Valverde's side had a £50 million offer turned down for the 29 year old but they are clearly determined to get their man from Chelsea.

Whilst still at the World Cup Willian was asked about the potential move and he answered, "People speculate a lot. We see a lot of things on the internet, but this is not the time to talk about this. I've not received any information about that. I'm trying to focus on my performance, playing for Brazil."

Barcelona have already signed Arthur and Clément Lenglet this summer whilst Andres Iniesta, Paulinho and Gerard Deulofeu have already left.

Will Barca sign Willian?
