Barcelona want to add more firepower to their squad for next season and Marcus Rashford is their third choice transfer target if they can't sign Antoine Griezmann or Neymar.

Lionel Messi carries a lot of the burden at Barcelona to score the goals to take them to success. Behind Messi comes Luis Suarez with the forward having to start most of Ernesto Valverde's side's games.

In January they wanted to add a forward to the squad to help lessen the load, specifically on Suarez and his knees, and after a lot of speculation they signed Kevin Prince-Boateng, in one of the more surprising winter moves.

That didn't work though and the Ghanaian has returned to Italian side Sassuolo following his loan, leaving Barca back in the hunt for a forward.

They've been linked with high profile moves for Antoine Griezmann and an attempt to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou. Both those moves could still prove difficult and, according to Spanish outlet SPORT, should neither, they will look to land Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

The England striker's contract runs out next summer and so far there's been no agreement between him and the Premier League club.

Griezmann looked likely to join Barca last summer but decided to stay at Atletico Madrid. This year he's already announced that he'll be leaving Diego Simeone's team.

Once again he's been expected to move to the Catalan Giants but there has been reports that some players have rebelled against the idea, leaving big question marks over the transfer.

Barca are also reportedly interested in bringing Neymar back to Spain, just two years after he left to join PSG for a transfer record smashing £198 million.

The Brazilian has been linked with both Barcelona and fierce rivals Real Madrid in the past but he wouldn't come cheap.

Rashford also wouldn't be a cheap option with United desperate to keep hold of a player who showed clear signs of improvement early in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign.

The forward is a home grown striker still with room to get better and in this current climate they can't afford to lose any of their best players.

United have also been linked with both Griezmann and Neymar in the past but with no Champions League football they won't be trying to sign either man.

It's going to be a very long summer of transfers.
