It's been no secret that Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin. But with the deal failing to come to fruition, it appears the Catalans are now seeking for an alternative.

Barcelona are in desperate need for a right-back after releasing Dani Alves (!!) with Juventus snapping up his services. The Brazilian showed his former employers what he's still capable of doing by churning out heroics from the flanks.

Alves starred for Juventus as they bagged an impressive league and cup double not to mention reaching the Champions League final which included knocking out Barcelona.

And following the appointment of Ernesto Valverde, he's highlighted that position. But with the transfer of Bellerin looking unlikely, the Spaniard is now plotting a move for Juventus' Juan Cuadrado.

According to Goal, Barcelona are hoping to sign the Colombian to fill the void left by Alves. The 29-year-old is also attracting interest from Arsenal.

Cuadrado was employed in a wing-back position last season and would be a cheaper alternative. Barcelona are reluctant to meet Arsenal's lofty asking price with Juventus reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £28 million.

As well as Cuadrado, Barcelona are hoping to secure deals for Paris Saint-Germain's midfield maestro Marco Verratti and Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Ousmane Dembele.

Both potential deals would cost in excess of £100 million so the club may be forced to sign the 'cheaper' right-back option.
