Gabriel's time at Arsenal looks set to be done and dusted, with the defender in Valencia ahead of a move.

Arsene Wenger is looking to get rid of some of the dead wood before the transfer deadline on August 31 and the Brazilian defender is the first to be heading out of the exit door at the Emirates.

Gabriel joined the club from Villarreal in January 2015 for a fee in the region of £11.3 million and has gone on to make 64 appearances in all competitions.

He never fully established himself as a regular in the Gunners backline, however, and has been allowed to return to Spain on a permanent basis as a result.

The 26-year old, who is currently on the sidelines with a serious knee injury suffered at the back-end of the Premier League season, is commanding a reported fee of £10 million according to the Press Association, via the Daily Mail.
