Arsenal Eye Huge Late Transfer Deal As Potential Alexis Sanchez Replacement

Arsenal Eye Huge Late Transfer Deal As Potential Alexis Sanchez Replacement

The Gunners have held onto Alexis Sanchez for the entire summer so far but Manchester City and PSG are still circling.

Arsene Wenger must be praying that the transfer window will just finish without him having to answer the phone from calls starting with the Manchester, Paris or anything in the Middle East. But if any of those calls does lead to Alexis Sanchez leaving he's got his eye on a replacement.

Alexis Sanchez' contract runs out next summer but Arsene Wenger is determined not to let him leave this summer. Perhaps like when your girlfriend tells you it's not working out and you beg her to stay in the hope she'll change her mind eventually.

The Chilean shows no signs of staying past next summer and you imagine that he'd rather leave this summer, none of us are getting any younger and he's no exception, surprisingly.

The problem for the player right now is a lack of bids and the Gunners insistence on him staying. It looks increasingly like Sanchez' chances of moving lie with Manchester City as PSG are busy trying to spend around £138 million on Kylian Mbappe.

According to Spanish newspaper Diario Gol should they lose the former Barcelona winger in the next seven days then the Premier League club are lining up a move for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Real are stacked in attack but Benzema is their one proper out and out striker. However if Los Blancos do bring in a big name attacker before the end of the window then it's likely they'll have to sell someone.

Cristiano Ronaldo, despite moaning earlier this summer, is unlikely to move whilst Gareth Bale seemed to be ruled out of a move away from the Bernabeu earlier in the summer when Manchester United were linked.

Eden Hazard has once again been linked with a move into Zidane's side but he already has Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Marco Asensio, Isco and Lucas Vazquez as options in attack.

It's not the first time that Benzema has been linked with a move to the Emirates and this looks as likely as every other time he's been rumoured to be heading to North London.
