The Chinese Super League has just acquired the services of another high-profile name from Europe in Real Madrid's Pepe per Cadena Cope.

The 33-year-old is set to sign a whopping contract and join the Far East movement, following in the footsteps of Carlos Tevez, John Obi Mikel, Oscar, to name but a few.

His name had been doing the rounds in the transfer rumour mills while subject to intense speculation with his Bernabeu contract coming to an end. But it appears his future is now set.

The Portuguese was attracting plenty of interest with both Juventus and Manchester United believed to be keen on snapping him up, though the trophy-laden player has ultimately opted for a move to Asia.

Hebei Fortune tabled a lucrative deal which proved too hard to turn down. Pepe's set to pocket a cool £12 million per season which is £300k-a-week. Almost THREE times what he currently earns at Real.

As well as the crazy money, the Chinese Super league side is managed by a familiar face.

Ex-Real Madrid boss Manuel Pellegrini is at the helm and enjoyed a good working relationship with the Champions League and Euro winner during his stint in 2009.

Pepe won the lot with the Los Blancos who compiled over 200 appearances. From the La Liga (x2) to the Copa del Rey (x2) not to mention two Champions League triumphs.

But after 13-years in Europe, the nutty defender is now going to ply his trade in the fledgling CSL.
