Andre Schurrle is set to return to west London only instead of coming back to Chelsea he'll play for Fulham after the newly promoted Premier League side beat some decent opposition to his signing.
When a club gets promoted from the Championship to the Premier League there is often a fine balance to be had between keeping faith with those players who won you promotion and bringing in new players deemed more capable of keeping you up.
The wealth available by staying in the Premier League an extra season now leads clubs to be more desperate to stay up, like last season when it felt three quarters of the club were merely hoping to survive.

The Cottagers have signed three players this summer with Jean-Michael Seri from Nice possibly being the best signing in the whole of England's top tier, considering Barcelona were amongst the teams after him only a year ago.
Now the west Londoners are set to add an experienced forward to their ranks. According to Sky Sports, Fulham and Borussia Dortmund have agreed terms for Andre Schurrle with the German due in England for his medical today.
Sky report that Fulham have beaten Crystal Palace and AC Milan to the signing and the former Germany international has been allowed to leave the club's pre season training camp in the US to have his medical.

The player reportedly chose the Craven Cottage club as he admired the passing style that Slavisa Jokanovic's side played in winning promotion back to the top tier last season.
The 27 year old played a season and a half at Chelsea between 2013 and 2015, scoring 11 goals in 44 games but was mainly used as a substitute in that time.
He moved to Dortmund, from Wolfsburg, in 2016 but has never been able to become a first team player at the Westfalenstadion.
