Arsenal look set to lose Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain to Chelsea as the player refuses to sign for Arsenal and now it's being reported that he will join the Blues and become their top earner.
During Sunday's showing, or lack of a showing, against Liverpool commentator Gary Neville suggested that the entire Arsenal squad should be put up for sale and it looks likely that two of them will be sold.
Admittedly of all the players Alexis Sanchez might have been the one that Gunners wanted to keep, despite him also being poor at Anfield, but today's news suggest Arsenal are willing to part with him to Manchester City if Pep Guardiola is willing to lose Raheem Sterling in exchange.

It also looks very much like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose contract, like Sanchez', runs out next summer, will leave the Emirates with Stamford Bridge his location for £35 million.
The former Southampton player reportedly told Arsene Wenger he won't sign a new deal and it has nothing to do with money. However the StarSport are reporting that 'the Ox' is set to become Chelsea's top earning star on £220,000-a-week.

Currently Chelsea's top earner is actually Eden Hazard on £200k-a-week followed by wantaway striker Diego Costa, on a measly £185k-a-week and then Cesc Fabregas on £156k-a-week.
New boy Alvaro Morata, who has hit the ground running in his short time in the Premier League, is 'only' on £155k-a-week which really puts into perspective how ridiculous the Ox's new wage would be.

Arsenal are apparently more willing to let the 24 year-old move to Chelsea rather than Liverpool as they see the Reds as a bigger threat to them getting into the top four again.

Chamberlain has struggled to find a consistent place in Wenger's team and can't hold down a position either. His stats are poor though having scored just nine goals and put on 14 assists in his 130 Premier League appearances since moving in 2011.
Does the Ox deserve those kind of wages?
