Reports are surfacing that Graziano Pelle is set to sign for Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng.

Italian media are claiming that the Southampton striker is on the verge of becoming the latest player to join the Chinese football revolution in a package that could be worth a staggering 40 million euros. It's believed he has been offered a £125,000-a-week deal.

The 30-year-old has been at St Mary's for two seasons having amassed 81 appearances scoring 30 goals in all competitions since his £8 million move from Feyenoord.

Following his performances in the Premier League he was included in Antonio Conte's 23-man Italy squad where he netted on two occasions though will most likely be remembered for his woeful spot-kick in their penalty shoot-out against Germany in the quarter-finals.

Pelle has been subject to intense transfer speculation even linking him with a reunion with Ronald Koeman at Everton, yet the lucrative package Shandong are prepared to offer seems to have made his decision.

The Chinese Super League continue to show off their financial muscle as another player plying his trade in Europe has opted a move to Asia.
